We are thrilled to announce that Nor Sanavongsay, author and illustrator of “A Sticky Mess” and a UX Product Designer, will visit Vientiane International School in Vientiane, Laos, on February 2, 2023.

Nor will be reading from his beloved book “A Sticky Mess,” which tells the story of a young boy who learns an important lesson in how to get out of a difficult situation. The students will also have the opportunity to participate in a drawing session with Nor, where they can learn about the creative process behind illustrating a children’s book and also how storytelling is important to effective communication.

In addition to the reading and drawing session, Nor will share his unique career journey as a UX Product Designer and children’s book author. He will discuss how his experience in the tech industry has influenced his approach to storytelling and illustration and how he balances his work in both fields.

We are also excited to announce that Vilayvanh Bender, writer of “Mommy Eats Fried Grasshoppers,” will read to the students virtually through Zoom on February 21 and 28. This unique virtual reading session will allow students to hear from the author, ask her questions about the book, and learn more about her.

This is a unique opportunity for students to gain insights and inspiration from two successful and multi-talented individuals.
